COVID-19 Response

Thanks to all our loyal customers as we face these difficult times together! The Original Pancake House continues to make the safety of both our guests and team members a priority.
As of this writing, we are still open at 1445 Portage Avenue, 1049 Pembina Hwy., 2220 McGillivray Blvd. with reduced hours. You’ll see our staff continuously cleaning and sanitizing all customer areas and food contact surfaces as well as allowing for more space between seated tables. We’re watching the situation closely as it develops across our province and are prepared to react quickly to any new information provided by health officials.
You can help by following some of the same directions we give our staff, including staying at home if you have any flu-like symptoms, have come in contact with someone who has tested positive or have recently traveled internationally, and by strictly following hand hygiene and cough etiquette practices.

Robert Walker

In Memorium

We very much regret to announce the recent untimely passing of Robert Walker, our General Manager for the past 9 years. Rob was a very experienced, extremely well-liked and appreciated executive who helped guide us through a growth phase including the opening of The Original Pancake House on McGillivray, redecorating of the other three stores, implementation of a POS system and development of new, exciting menu items. Rob, known as the “gentle giant”, was equally at home bringing new cooks up to speed in the kitchen or crunching out numbers on a spreadsheet. His personability and expertise were recognized by his colleagues when he was chosen as Executive Chair of the Manitoba Restaurant Association, a position he held since 2015. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his dog Kongo, reading historical novels, watching Netflix movies and playing tournament billiards in Las Vegas. Rob will be missed by the entire Pancake House family.
